Ever since Blake can remember, he has wanted to be a builder. At age 18 he began his building apprenticeship in Whanganui, completing this in 2015.

The following year, Blake moved to Auckland and began working for a construction company that focused on both high-end luxury homes and light commercial developments. He was quickly promoted to site manager and built up his experience there for several years.

In early 2020, Blake had the opportunity to work on The Block NZ TV Show for contestants Tim and Arty. Unfortunately, due to Covid, this was short-lived, and when the first lockdown hit, Blake and his wife relocated to their hometown, Whanganui, where they decided to stay.

Soon after, Blake Construction Ltd was founded – born out of Blake’s desire to deliver quality work at a reasonable price. With many successful projects now completed, not to mention the satisfied clients, Blake Construction continues to thrive.
